My second and last pumpkin (promise). It's a new thing for me and I'm really enjoying it. Now I'm thinking about taking carpentry as a hobby, maybe try to do some of cedarseed's arabseques on wood. The point is, it's damn relaxing!
Anyway, the design is a halloween folk thing in here (not mine), and I wanted to find out how hard it would be carving it.
That took about 90 minutes (plus 45 minutes to empty the insides of this big-ass 25 kilos pumpkin, not fun).
All in all, I'm pleased with the result, but too bad I gotta throw that away in a couple of days (hence the idea of carving wood )
And I'm sorry for the comment with a lack of sense
I believe I faved this a while ago, and then a few weeks later I stumble upon your page, I check out your gallery (looking to ease my lebanon nostalgia ) and I notice that the piece I faved was actually yours... That's it, nothing really special.
that is so good, i always wanted to carve one, but how did u get it to apear yellow in the bottom and orangish on top on the flame? is it like u pock holes in some and u take out layers in some parts?(degredation of thickness?)
or am i just seeing wrong?
it kinda looks like a mexican style skull , for "the day of the dead"
The orange and yellow things are just a perspective view. I did carve everything all the way, but this pumpkin is about 5cm thick, so at the top only the orange pulp is showing (and it glows because of the candle inside). Meaning that if I took the picture from the top, the bottom would look orange and top yellow. (don't know if I said this the right way)
(sorry if took soo long to reply. Haven't been here for a while)
