Baseball pitcher by cedrus Baseball pitcher by cedrus
This is Matt Cain pitching for the SF Giants.

I don't want to put this one in "photomanip" because there's hardly any manipulation.

As I was shooting him, I kept my finger on the shutter (continuous shoot) until he was done. Then copy/paste onto one photo.

I just wish it was less blurry though. The lens was at full zoom and shutter speed wasn't fast enough.

thank you, it is fun to work with Photoshop, I take a lot of pics at baseball games and most of the time I don't manage to click at the right moment and don't get the ball, you tell me that the pros get it every time too!

So I sometimes add the ball that I have clipped out of another picture, I'm hoping to become a photographer for the Tulsa Drillers next year, I had one great shot of one player that he has hanging up in his locker, or did at least cos the season is over.

You'd be surprised how friendly the players get when you want to give them something rather than the usual "gimme gimme gimme" they get from collectors.

This was the shot he loved [link]

Keep clicking buddy

Well that's an awesome picture! Not surprised that he loved it :)

I know what you mean about the timing. It takes a lot of practice! But once you have your camera set on 'continuous shooting', it helps a lot. The only team I got to shoot regularly was the SF Giants, but I don't go to their games that often anymore (because they suck).

This is absolutely wonderful! It's only barely out of focus and that works with the action I think. Very impressive composite shot! And a great reference for movement :D
